The 4-post is better suited for larger dies or operations requiring side access to die, such as material feed. The Larger die area of M4P heavy-duty presses allows for simpler integration of auxiliary equipment. They are well suited to jobs requiring superior rigidity and bed to RAM parallelism where the rod of the cylinder RAM can be attached to the tooling or where the tooling has its own guide posts.
